Billabong Europe has named Jean Kress as head of merchandising and design and Nicolas Burger as sales manager. They will both work out of Billabong's head office in Hossegor, in south-western France, and report to Jean-Louis Rodrigues, general manager of Billabong Europe. Kress will be overseeing Billabong Europe's design and development team. He will work alongside Burger, who will be responsible for defining and executing the brand's sales strategy in the region, through increased brand presence and visibility across all channels. Kress bring more than 20 years of experience in action sports and fashion design. He started with Quiksilver in 1999 and spent 15 years at the company as design manager for Europe overseeing all the men's, women's, accessories and kid's collections. Burger was most recently Fox Europe's head of sales for the EMEA region. He designed and implemented their three-year sales strategy, which covered more than 30 countries. Prior to Fox, he gained sales experience during a decade with Nike, in positions including sport performance sales manager in Russia, among others.
