Billabong has appointed Kevin Meehan as global general manager of the RVCA brand. He replaces Bill Bettencourt, who is joining a footwear brand that has yet to be disclosed. Meehan joins the company from Volcom, where he was most recently president of the Americas. He brings 20 years of experience in action sports, including executive positions at Volcom, Hurley, and Burton, as well as senior publishing roles with surf, skate and snow publications. He will be working closely with Pat Tenore, RVCA's founder. Meehan will be based at the brand's main office in Costa Mesa, California. Separately, Katie Singer is promoted to global vice president of Billabong in charge of merchandising and design for women's products, reportedly after the resignation of Susan Branch, who had served since 2014 as women's global general manager.
