Björn Borg posted a 23 percent sales increase in the second quarter, with sales reaching 122.2 million Swedish kronor (€12.9m-$14.4m). The Swedish fashion and sportswear brand said it strengthened its position in sports and sports apparel, especially in its male target market, during the quarter. Operating profit for the period amounted to SEK 0.3 million (€31,564.0-$35,480.2), against a loss of SEK 1.7 million (€0.18m-$0.20m) a year ago, and to a loss after tax of SEK 2.2 million (€0.23m-$0.26m), against a year-earlier loss of SEK 2.3 million. Earlier this year, the brand launched a special anniversary collection called “The Achromatic Collection,” due to its all-white style, to celebrate the 60th birthday of its founder, the Swedish tennis legend Björn Borg.
