Black Diamond Inc. has made a number of changes in its design and product development departments to spur innovation in its apparel and equipment categories. Doug Heinrich, a former executive of Patagonia and Icon Health & Fitness, has been promoted from vice president of equipment to the position of senior vice president of product, overseeing a reorganized, cross-functional team of managers.
