Boa Technology is raising its support of triathlon by sponsoring nine triathlon races in 2013, including the Ironman 70.3 race in Boulder, Colorado, on Aug. 4, and the Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, on Oct. 12. The company recently launched triathlon-specific footwear with Zoot and Specialized, both of which utilize the micro-adjustable Boa Closure System in their footwear. In addition to two Ironman events, Boa's sponsorships extend to seven triathlons in Colorado: the Summer Open Triathlon in Longmont, the TriBella Women's Triathlon in Denver, the Steamboat Lake Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlons in Steamboat Springs, the Outdoor Divas Triathlon in Longmont, the Harvest Moon Long Course triathlon in Aurora and the Oktoberfest Triathlon in Longmont. At all of these events, racers can stop by the Boa Technology booth and take advantage of the “Upgrade To Boa” offer, which allows them to trade in their shoes for a new pair of Boa-powered footwear at pro-deal prices. Used shoes are donated to One World Running and Mountain2Mountain, two Colorado-based non-profits assisting people in the U.S. and abroad.
