Bogner won the German Shoe Prize 2012 during the international GDS shoe trade show held in Düsseldorf earlier this month. The jury picked two styles of fashionable shoes for men and women from the brand's autumn/winter footwear collection, ‘Kitzbühel‘ and ‘St. Anton,' which take their inspiration from winter sports. The collection is the third one that has been developed for Bogner by its Italian licensee, Cappelletti, in cooperation with a German company, Shoe Mission. The latter is run by Rainer Zink, who managed the European shoe department of K2 until a few years ago. Cappelletti produces shoes for other well-known brands such as Porsche Design, Prada and Puma. In the last two seasons, Cappelletti sold 30,000 pairs of Bogner shoes to about 250 stores in Western Europe, Russia, the Far East and Korea (more in Shoe Intelligence).
