Brad Stewart has left Amer Sports, where he was in charge of global digital marketing lately. A spokesperson says he is not going to be replaced directly, as his functions will be taken over by the department of Victor Duran, senior vice president of marketing and B2C. He founded Bonfire in 1989, and then sold the brand to Salomon. As president of Amer's action sports brands, he led the marketing and creative teams behind Bonfire, Nikita and Salomon's snowboard business until 2006. Between 2006 and last August, he focused on global marketing for Salomon Snowboards. As reported in the Amer story in this issue, observers feel that Stewart's recent concentration on the Salomon brand and his more recent departure from the group may be linked to its possible divestiture of Bonfire and Nikita.
