Brandboxx, the international Netherlands-based operator of trade shows and order centers, has decided to cancel this year's edition of Bike & Trimm, a combined show for bicycles and fitness gear that has been taking place in Salzburg, Austria, annually in September. Brandboxx, which also runs the more general Austrian sports trade show, Ösfa, twice a year, is pulling out of the bike and fitness segment, after a major competitor in the field, Reed Exhibitions, decided to stage a similar show concept in the same city. The new fair is called Best of Bike. It will be hosted as of this year by Messe Salzburg on Sept. 23-25. Some 90 important suppliers of bicycles and accessories are committed to the new project. Apparently, the show is backed by Arge Fahrrad, the Austrian bike industry federation.
