Arena has added Summer McIntosh, the Canadian swimming star, to its global roster. This is a coup for the Italian brand, as it continues to build its athlete portfolio around Olympic champions and rising icons.
At just 19 years of age, McIntosh is already a six-time world-record holder and four-time world champion, with her name among the top five all-time performers in six long-course events, from the 200m medley to the 800m freestyle.
McIntosh’s meteoric rise began with her Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020 at age 14. The highlights of her career include:
- two world titles (Budapest 2022) in the 200m butterfly and 400m medley
- multiple world records (2023-25) in 200m and 400m medley, 400m freestyle and other events.
- three golds and one silver at Paris 2024, where she became the first Canadian to win three Olympic gold medals at a single Games
- four golds and one bronze at the 2025 World Championships in Singapore
The partnership follows months of Arena product tests, including one for a racing suit developed with McIntosh’s input to balance compression and comfort.
“For me, Arena has always set the standard in swimming. Every detail matters, and with Arena I can focus fully on my race,” said McIntosh. “We are proud to welcome Summer – a true embodiment of determination and passion,” added Mark Pinger, Arena’s Chief Brand Officer.
Arena was founded in 1973.
