The brands have produced an exclusive special edition of the instant camera.

In 1925 the German manufacturer Leica presented its first 35mm camera to the public at the Leipzig Spring Fair. It was the first such camera to be mass-produced and exceeded all expectations. Decades later, Jake Burton Carpenter, snowboard pioneer and founder of Burton Snowboards, dedicated his life to this sport, transforming a backyard pastime into the world-class discipline we know today. Jake Burton captured his inspiration with his trusted Leica camera, taking photos of friends and family and posting them on a corkboard in his kitchen.

To honor this visionary, Leica has teamed up with Burton Snowboards to create a special edition: the Leica Sofort 2 Burton Edition.

Leica has teamed up with Burton Snowboards to create the Leica Sofort 2 Burton Edition.

This version of the Leica camera is inspired by the “Jake Blue” pattern to be seen on the camera’s body, which stands out from the standard model’s body also with the addition of the Burton logo on the top cover. The camera comes with a Burton camera bag.

Compact and modern, this instant camera bridges the gap between digital photography and the tangible analog world. It enables users to print selected photos directly. Thanks to its integration with the Leica Fotos App, users can also print images captured on their smartphone or another Leica camera. There are various cameras modes, such as selfie, landscape and macro, as well as ten lens and film effects.
