Germany’s Futsal-Bundesliga gets its first standardized match ball from 2026-27, after the German Football Association and Derbystar developed a bespoke design engineered for professional indoor play.
The German Football Association (DFB) has designated DERBYSTAR as the official ball supplier of the Futsal-Bundesliga, Germany’s top-flight futsal competition, from the 2026-27 season. The two parties jointly developed the Futsal-Bundesliga Brillant APS, which becomes the mandatory match ball for all league fixtures starting next campaign.
The ball gets its competitive debut before the season even begins: it will be used at the German Championship finals from May 9, when HOT 05 Futsal meets TSV Weilimdorf for the national title.
Developed specifically for professional futsal, the Brillant APS is optimized for controlled bounce and flight, reduced rebound and consistent grip on indoor surfaces. The design – produced exclusively for the league – incorporates what DERBYSTAR calls Speedlines, rendered in the Futsal-Bundesliga’s color scheme.
Alongside the match ball, DERBYSTAR is launching a Futsal-Bundesliga-branded collection of training and youth balls aligned with the official design. The range goes on sale July 1.
