Gymshark, the fitness community and apparel brand, has announced that it will open three new permanent stores and a retail outlet pop-up in the next twelve months, including its first store in mainland Europe. The new stores will be in three iconic shopping locations: Trafford Centre in Manchester, Westfield White City in London and The Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. These new stores will create over 200 new employment opportunities. At the end of 2024, Gymshark will have three stores; next summer, there will be seven.
First up is Gymshark’s first-ever retail outlet pop-up at the world-renowned Bicester Village, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the UK. As Europe’s leading designer outlet, it presents the perfect opportunity for Gymshark to bring its brand to the “off-price shopping experience.” The store will open in October and will trade until January 2025.
Earlier this year, SGI Europe reported on Gymshark’s opening of its first flagship store in London.
In addition, early in 2025, Gymshark will open its doors at its third permanent store in London at Westfield White City, one of the capital’s most recognizable shopping centers. Coming hot on the heels of the brand’s opening at Westfield Stratford City in July, the store will cover almost 9,000 square feet and solidify Gymshark’s presence in London’s most popular shopping destinations.
In spring 2025, Gymshark will open its first store in mainland Europe, on The Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. The Netherlands is one of Gymshark’s biggest markets, and brand popularity is increasing daily. Gymshark is, therefore, taking the opportunity to bring the IRL shopping experience to its community in Amsterdam. The store will be over 10,000 square feet in magnitude and will replicate the core experience offered at Westfield White City.
In the summer of next year, Gymshark will open its first standalone store in the north of the UK at Trafford Centre, Manchester. Gymshark has a great, long-standing relationship with Manchester. Its first Lift event post-Covid was in Manchester, and it has recently seen great success at its wholesale space at Selfridges in Trafford Centre. The 7,500-square-foot store will be located on Upper Peel Avenue and will house all of its most sought-after ranges, plus exclusives to Gymshark Trafford Centre. With over 29m visitors to the Centre each year, it is the perfect location for Gymshark’s first store in the north of the UK.
