Intersport is the new official partner of the IHF Men’s World Championship 2025, taking place from Jan. 14 to Feb. 2, 2025, in Croatia, Denmark and Norway. As part of the partnership, Intersport’s brand will be present for matchday at all 108 Handball games in five venues, on everything from floors and LED perimeter boards to press conference backdrops.
This partnership reaffirms Intersport’s longstanding commitment to handball, which it has previously supported as an Official Partner, and its regular presence at global sporting events in general, stretching back to its Official Sports Retailer sponsorship of the Olympic Games in Munich (1972), Innsbruck (1976) and Moscow (1980).
The collaboration will bring the brand closer to its European consumers, with the majority of the 32 competing countries coming from local Intersport markets. It is therefore a strategic move to elevate Intersport’s hyper-local network of stores and motivate consumers to benefit from the advice, equipment and community connections to be found at the brand’s stores.
