Joma has taken a piece of equipment from one sport and branded it with team colors and symbols from another, according to TradeSport. Specifically, Joma has modified its Hyper Pro padel racquet to advertise Brentford FC, of the Premier League.

The brand succeeded Umbro as Brentford’s kit sponsor in mid-2025, as we’ve reported, and had a kit ready for the team within a month.

This is at least the second time Joma has engaged in such sports cross-pollination, the first having been with Villareal CF (LaLiga), whose colors went onto the Tournament Pro padel racquet this past November. Villareal is another club sponsored by Joma.

In fact, Joma sponsors hundreds of professional football teams, one of the latest to arrive (Jan. 27) being the Las Vegas Lights (USL Championship).

The closest parallel in cross-pollination we find outside of Joma is Wilson, which in early 2022 released a line of padel equipment, racquet included, with an endorsement from Jürgen Klopp, then the manager of another club in the Premier League, Liverpool FC. “I have spent my career focusing as a football manager at the highest level, while Padel has become my favourite sport to play,” he said at the time (quoted by Padelpadelpadel.com). A second edition of the Klopp racquet came out in 2023, but the line appears now to be discontinued.
