In an interview with Diffusion Sport, Marina López, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, says that Joma is supplying the kit for about 15 percent of the athletes competing in this summer’s Olympic Games. It will also be dressing the Olympic Committees of ten countries, including Spain.
López goes on to say that Joma is present in more than 140 countries, with subsidiaries in the US, Italy, China, the UK, Germany, Mexico, Panama and Brazil, and exports about 70 percent of its production, up from 60 percent a few years ago.
Country by country, however, the domestic market of Spain remains dominant in sales, with Italy coming in second place. Joma is seeing growth, says López, in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East.
