KNWLS and Nike introduce an eight-piece women’s collection that fuses athletic performance with avant-garde femininity. The capsule includes a sculptural corset, Flyknit-infused Ghost top and pant, and the new Air Max Muse sneaker, embodying a new wave of “athletic elegance.”
London-based fashion label KNWLS has partnered with Nike to launch an eight-piece women’s collection that redefines modern femininity through the lens of athletic performance. The lineup features a sculptural corset crafted from Nike Flyknit technology, alongside the Ghost top and pant made from circular-knit fabric. The collection also introduces the Air Max Muse, a new sneaker silhouette that blends elements of ballet flats, vintage football trainers, and KNWLS’ Fang boot.
The capsule is designed to transition seamlessly from athletic wear to evening attire, embodying a new wave of “athletic elegance” that celebrates strength, grace, and sensuality. The collection is available globally via the SNKRS app and select retailers.
Why it matters
This collaboration marks a further shift in women’s sportswear by merging performance innovation with high-fashion design. It reflects a growing trend where functionality and femininity coexist, offering women versatile options that empower them both on and off the field.
Rewind…
In 2004, Giorgio Armani launched EA7, a sportswear line that blended high-performance athletic wear with Armani’s signature elegance and sophistication. This fusion set a precedent for integrating style and functionality in sportswear. Armani’s vision from over two decades ago paved the way for what we see today, including the KNWLS x Nike collaboration.
… and look forward
“To me, and I think to most women, sportswear is so transitional. I want to go play badminton wearing something practical and comfortable for the sport but also feel attractive and reflective of my style. The idea that you could even wear these pieces to the club after a run, that’s where we were coming from when designing the collection.” — Charlotte Knowles, co-founder, KNWLS
What to watch
Keep an eye on this new buzzword: “athletic elegance.” The success of this collection could pave the way for more partnerships that blend performance and high-fashion design.
