Another European football federation and its national teams are Macron family. The Italian brand is the new technical partner of the Slovak Football Federation (SFZ), and the Macron Hero will be featured on the kits of all the national teams, from the men’s and women’s first teams to the youth teams. Macron is now eager to increase the company’s presence in top football clubs and federations.
The announcement of the partnership and the presentation of the new kits, which the Sokoli (The Falcons) will wear starting with the Nations League match against Estonia in Tallinn on Sept. 5, took place at the inauguration of the Macron Sports Hub in Bratislava.
As for the European Championships, Slovakia reached the finals three times – in 2016, 2020 and 2024. In this year’s edition in Germany, the national team came out on top thanks to some excellent performances: they defeated Belgium in their first match, reached the round of 16 and gave England (who later reached the final) a tough time, forcing Harry Kane and his teammates to recover the momentary Slovakian lead, scored by Ivan Schranz, only in extra time.
