The football federation for North and Central America and the Caribbean (Concacaf) has signed a multi-year deal with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The purpose, according to Concacaf, is to “support the growth of the sport at all levels, inspiring more people to take up football, as well as boost Concacaf tournaments for men, women and youth of both national teams and clubs”; provide “children and youth with access to the sport in all 41 Concacaf federations”; and support “existing Concacaf initiatives,” such as “Bigger Game,” which combines football with educational programs.

Concacaf signed a second multi-year deal within days of the PIF deal, this one with Riyadh Air, the PIF-backed Saudi airline founded in March 2023. It will be serving as Concacaf’s “Official Airline Partner.” Riyadh Air’s first sponsorship, signed a year ago this month, is with the La Liga team Atlético de Madrid.
