Faith Kipyegon is the most decorated woman middle-distance athlete of all time.
Nike has teamed up with Kenyan athlete Faith Kipyegon to create a collection of running footwear and apparel. The collection comprises Nike’s three contemporary Pegasus silhouettes, as well as the Alphafly 3, Victory 2 spike and Aeroswift women’s running apparel.
Born in 1994, Faith Kipyegon made her senior debut at the World Championships in Moscow in 2013, finishing fifth. Since then, she has won twice as the world champion (2017, 2022). She also won a gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
“The collection reflects Faith’s unparalleled speed, her Kenyan heritage and her commitment to excellence as both an athlete and a mother,” said Nike. Each footwear silhouette features a double Swoosh design inspired by the bond that the Kenyan athlete shares with her daughter. Blurred print designs throughout Kipyegon’s Aeroswift apparel are meant to represent her generational speed, explained the brand, which has been Faith’s partner for 16 years.
The collection is launching globally on June 20 at nike.com and select retail locations.
