StarCruises has partnered with Under Armour to launch Fitness @ Sea, an active-lifestyle cruise experience that blends fitness programming with traditional cruise amenities. The collaboration debuts aboard the Star Voyager on a four-night roundtrip sailing from Port Klang to Phuket and Singapore, departing Jan. 19, 2026.
The partnership positions Under Armour and StarCruises within the growing wellness travel segment, where consumers increasingly seek active vacation options that combine movement with leisure. Under Armour will provide certified trainers to lead complimentary fitness sessions throughout the voyage, including Animal Flow, Serenity Pilates, Beast Mode Functional training and fitness challenges.
Targeting active travelers
“Fitness @ Sea reflects how cruising continues to evolve beyond traditional vacations,” said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. “By collaborating with a global performance brand like Under Armour, we’re creating a fresh and exciting way for guests to stay active, feel energized and still enjoy everything they love about cruising.”
The fitness programming is open to all guests aboard the sailing, with sign-ups available upon embarkation on a first-come-first-served basis. Guests who complete the full series of activities will receive Under Armour merchandise, while supplies last.
Fitness brands explore cruise experiences
The move comes as more fitness brands experiment with wellness tourism as a growth channel beyond gyms and events. Global fitness racing brand Hyrox recently unveiled its own fitness cruise under a new Hyrox Experiences umbrella, launching an adult-only fitness cruise running from Oct. 21 to 25, 2025. Guests on board can participate in five to six training sessions, clinics, panel talks and meet-and-greets with exclusive guests.
Wellness travel demand rises
The collaboration comes as wellness tourism continues to gain momentum globally, with travelers seeking experiences that support physical and mental wellbeing alongside traditional vacation activities.
Fitness @ Sea operates as part of Star Voyager’s limited-time deployment from Port Klang, running from Dec. 19, 2025 to Feb. 2, 2026. The ship offers weekly three-night cruises to Medan and Singapore departing Fridays, and four-night cruises to Phuket and Singapore departing Mondays. Beyond fitness programming, the Star Voyager features complimentary dining including certified Halal cuisine, waterslides at the Aqua Park, a kids waterpark, rock-climbing wall, ziplining, and live entertainment at the Zodiac Theatre. Accommodation options range from interior staterooms to Palace Suites with 24-hour butler service.
