Union Binding Company has establsihed the Union Boot Division and introduced its first snowboard boot model, the Union Reset Pro.
The new division, 100 percent owned and operated by Union, is headquartered in Montebelluna, Italy, in the technical footwear and sporting goods District (Sportsystem) of Asolo and Montebelluna, which covers an area of approximately 355 square kilometers. The new division’s website, unionbootdivision.com, launched on Nov. 3, will serve as the main hub of information for the new division and the Reset Pro.
The Union Reset Pro features Union Boot Division’s patented Single Frame Shell, Rebound Bushing System and Forma Pro Liner and comes equipped with the Dual BOA Fit System with H4 Coiler and TX3 Laces. A second release of Union boots is planned for 2026 and will include two additional boot models.
Why it matters
Union’s expansion into boots represents a strategic vertical integration move for a brand known for its bindings. By establishing its own boot division in Montebelluna – the heart of Italy’s performance footwear industry – Union gains control over the entire interface between rider and board, potentially improving product compatibility and brand loyalty.
The bigger picture
Union Binding Company, specializing in snowboard binding manufacturing, was founded in Colico, Italy, and Seattle, Washington, in 2005. The company is headquartered in Delebio, in the province of Sondrio, Italy. All Union Bindings are developed, produced and shipped in-house with zero outsourcing or third-party middlemen, claims the company. Union owns and operates its own production facility.
The move into boots follows a broader industry trend in which snowboard brands seek to control more of their supply chain and expand product categories to increase their market share and margin.
