The California activewear brand has added British actor Tom Holland – best known as Spider-Man – as ambassador, creative partner and financial investor, in a move designed to accelerate its expansion beyond performance sports into global lifestyle and wellness.

Vuori has taken its relationship with British actor Tom Holland well beyond traditional endorsement, naming him a global brand ambassador, creative collaborator and financial investor in a multi-year partnership announced this month. The structure – ambassador plus equity – is a deliberate positioning move as the California brand pursues international expansion and a broader lifestyle identity.

The deal launches globally in April 2026, alongside the brand’s spring campaign. Holland’s involvement covers three distinct areas: commercial representation, creative development and a financial stake. Terms of the investment have not been disclosed.

A campaign built around golf, not the gym

Holland’s debut contribution to the brand is the spring 2026 campaign “Play It as It Lies,” a short cinematic film centered on golf and wellness. It was co-directed by Holland’s brother, filmmaker Harry Holland, and director Harrison Boyce – making the first creative output of the partnership a family project as much as a brand activation.

The choice of golf as the campaign’s visual anchor is notable. Vuori’s core product and consumer base sit closer to yoga, training and outdoor performance than to the golf course. Framing the launch around the sport is consistent with the brand’s stated ambition to build a lifestyle reputation that extends beyond its activewear origins.

Vuori said the collaboration is grounded in shared values, describing Holland’s approach to his work as an embodiment of “calm ambition” and commitment under pressure. Before his career in film, Holland trained in gymnastics, dance and parkour – disciplines that require physical control and a high degree of mental discipline, rather than the traditional sporting credentials brands more typically invoke in partnerships of this scale.

An entrepreneur, not just an ambassador

Holland is no stranger to consumer brands. In 2023, he founded Bero, a non-alcoholic beer label, after speaking publicly about giving up alcohol. That background gives the Vuori deal a degree of personal logic that goes beyond a conventional endorsement.

Vuori said Holland will be involved in future storytelling initiatives, creative projects and brand development – positioning the arrangement as an ongoing collaboration rather than a seasonal campaign commitment.

Tom Holland, 29, is a British actor and entrepreneur based in the UK. He is best known for his portrayal of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), a role he has held since 2016 across multiple films.
