Brian Singer, chief executive and founder of Rip Curl, has appointed Wilco Prins chief of the boardsports brand's European operations. He replaces Olivier Cantet, who led Rip Curl Europe for ten years and decided to leave the company a few weeks ago, largely for personal reasons. The 36-year-old Prins has been with the company for 13 years, working as product manager for wetsuits and footwear. Most recently he was in charge of implenting strategies and developing products for the technical division, including wetsuits, bags, surf boards, watches and eyewear. Prins will officially take over as head of the European operations on April 15. He will be supported by Yann Tschumi, vice president of sales, and Mathieu Lefin, vice president of finance and operations.
