Infront Sports & Media is a major distributor of media and marketing rights, media production, hospitality and other services related to sports events, totaling more than 3,300 event days per year. It has partnerships with 120 clients and hundreds of sponsors and media companies.

Bridgepoint Capital, a major European private equity company, has acquired 100 percent of Infront from Jacobs Holding, the Junkermann Group and Martin Steinmeyer. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.

Based in Switzerland, Infront employs a staff more than 500 people at 20 offices in 10 countries. Besides a range of activities in football and other team sports, Infront claims to be the strongest and most experienced marketing agency in the winter sports arena, representing six of the seven sports federations participating in the Winter Olympics. It markets most of the races in the World Cup organized by FIS, the international ski federation, and it has the European media rights for the 2011 and 2013 editions of the FIS World Ski Championships for the alpine and Nordic ski competitions.

One of Infront's recent actions was the signing of a four-year contract with Jack Wolfskin for a package of sponsorship and advertising rights related to the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, starting with the 2012-13 season. The Paw will benefit from strong brand visibility on camera at 42 significant races in Canada, Finland, France, Italy, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway.

The package consists of branding at the start and finish areas of the races, logos on athletes' bibs, flags along the course, and logo presence on advertising boards along the ski run as well as on the leader board. TV coverage of these events is expected to reach up to 3.1 billion cumulative viewers.
