Bridgestone Americas has teamed up with Michael Johnson, the Olympic track & field legend, to conduct an internal training and sales incentive program for the employees of Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), designed to inspire them in the countdown to the Rio 2016 Olympics games. Bridgestone, the parent company, is a Worldwide Olympic Partner. Johnson, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, will share the lessons he learned from sport with BSRO employees at the company's tire and automotive service centers in the U.S., through a series of appearances, educational videos and other training tools. As part of the program, Johnson will also be featured in a trip to the U.S. Olympic Committee Training Center in Colorado Springs for BSRO top performers. Later this year, the athlete will be used by the rubber company for a consumer-facing retail marketing campaign with in-store, mobile activations and promotions.
