Briko Maplus, an Italian brand of high-performance, liquid fluorinated ski wax with a high melting point, is consolidating its position in the Nordic and Baltic countries through a long-term distribution contract with Oy Patrol Trading. The Finnish-based distributor, which has an annual turnover of about €35 million with major brands such as Asics and Fischer, has been the distributor of Swix for more than 20 years. BrikoMaplus has been developed by Maflon, a company owned by Mazza Holding, which specializes in high-tech fluorinated products. The Briko Maplus brand stems from a wide-ranging agreement with Briko in 2008 under which Briko stopped marketing its ski wax products and licensed its brand name to Mazza.
