Brooks Running has established a two-year partnership with International Front Runners (IFR) to promote inclusion in running. Founded in San Francisco in 1974 and formalized in 1999, IFR is a network of about a hundred lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) running clubs. Most are in the U.S. or in countries of the British Commonwealth, with a smattering of other clubs in Continental Europe and elsewhere. Beginning in Canada and the U.S., Brooks and IFR will be holding membership drives, organizing runs and looking for local clubs to fund. Brooks will be making donations through next year and start in its hometown with the Seattle Front Runners. On May 15, Brooks will also be releasing the limited-edition Run Proud Collection of apparel and accessories.
