Brooks Running has promoted Dan Sheridan to the new post of executive vice president and chief operating officer. In heading up the sales, e-commerce, digital, supply-chain and IT teams, Sheridan will be spearheading the enterprise and digital platforms as well as the wholesale business and distributor partnerships worldwide. Sheridan's two decades with the Seattle-based company have taken him through a number of posts, from key account sales manager to general manager, first of North America, then of global sales. Brooks is coming off a stellar 2018, with global revenues up 26 percent year on year. The company was founded in Philadelphia in 1914 as a maker of bath and ballet shoes. It shifted to sports in 1921, when it began making baseball cleats.
