Callaway Golf has announced that Sergio Garcia, the reigning Masters champion, has become part of its players' team. Garcia played with TaylorMade for most of his professional career, but the two parties confirmed that they were parting ways in October and since then Garcia has already competed with Callaway clubs in his bag. Garcia will play with Callaway woods, irons and wedges, an Odyssey putter and a Callaway Chrome Soft ball. Callaway says it has worked with the Spaniard to dial in the specs on each of his clubs, to help achieve maximum distance, accuracy and control. The Odyssey putter to be used by Garcia is a new product with which he has already won, with a new toe hang mallet to be launched next month. Garcia will also be sporting the Callaway logo on both sides of his hat. The Spaniard turned professional in 1999 and has since won 30 tournaments, enabling him to consistently remain one of the top-ranked players. He has also competed on eight European teams at the Ryder Cup. He was recently named Hilton European Tour Golfer of the Year for 2017. The split with TaylorMade comes after the golf equipment brand's sale by the Adidas Group. The player will continue to wear Adidas footwear and apparel.
