Acushnet, parent company of Titleist, Cobra and FootJoy, recorded an operating loss of $18.3 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a $6.7 million loss for 2007, as sales dropped by 13.4 percent to $212.2 million. The loss amounted to $6.1 million excluding charges.
