Canada Goose has just opened a new and sophisticated experimental store at CF Sherway Gardens, a mall near Toronto. Called “The Journey,” it has no products in its inventory, and it will treat customers to daily synthetic snowstorms. The store uses OLED TV displays, 4K laser applications, rock walls and artificial snow machines to mimic the North Pole. Customers enter the store through a narrow rock corridor – “The Crevasse” – walk through the “Elements Room” and pick Canada Goose jackets at the “Gear Room” before proceeding to the “Cold Room.” The Cold Room's temperatures range between -120°C and -200°C. Upon exiting into the retail area, customers can purchase items at a digital kiosk, with next-day delivery if orders are made before 2 pm.
