Cannondale has streamlined its structure, combining marketing and product management so that one department will oversee the whole life cycle of the product, from development to production to marketing. Robert Burbank will be brought on effective Feb. 15 as general manager; Frank Hwang has already started as marketing director. The new Product Management Group will be moving from Switzerland to Connecticut, and will continue to be led by Steve Metz with a title of vice president. The company says the new structure will create more accountability in four key categories: road, mountain, recreation/urban and women’s.
