Truman Kim, chairman of K-Swiss Global Brands, is adding the title of chief executive of the company, as Larry Remington retires as president and CEO. They had been appointed to their respective positions immediately after the acquisition of K-Swiss by E-Land of South Korea in the spring of 2015.
The company has also decided to have dedicated presidents for its brands: K-Swiss, Palladium, Supra and KR2W Denim. The last two were acquired by the group in June. In this context, Barney Waters, who had been promoted to the position of chief marketing officer two years ago, becomes president of K-Swiss. Waters, a former marketing manager for Puma North America, had joined K-Swiss when it acquired Palladium,
The group has already named Robert Capener as president for Supra and KR2W. The future leadership of Palladium has yet to be defined. Remington had come out of retirement about five years ago to act as president of Palladium. A well-known personality in the industry, he had previously worked for Foot Locker and Skechers.
