Chris Sports, a Swiss distribution company, has teamed up with Qloom Sports, an offbeat bicycle apparel brand launched five years ago. The deal is that the distribution of Qloom for Germany, Switzerland and Austria will be handled by Chris Sports, after the integration of Qloom's sales team into the joint organization. This will enable other Qloom staff to fully focus on product development and further international expansion. Meanwhile, the leadership of Chris Sports Europe, based in Munich, is to be taken over by Harry Gunz, former international sales and marketing manager at Qloom. Chris Sports Europe sells the group's own ski apparel brand, Powderhorn, as well as several other brands. Gunz takes over from Thomas Stumpp, a former country manager of Rossignol in Germany who has been appointed to lead the European office of Super Natural in Munich. This is an apparel brand owned by the Shanghai Challenge Textile company, which previously focused on sourcing for sports and outdoor brands. Using merino wool and technical fibers, the Super Natural range will be targeted at German-speaking countries, Scandinavia, the Benelux, the U.K., France, Italy, Spain and Russia.
