Christian Houdard, who ran Helly Hansen in France for ten years, has bought Soubirac, a French manufacturer of boots that is more than 100 years old. It makes mainly boots for horse-riding, golf and motorcycling, generating annual sales of about €2.5 million. It employs 31 persons, including 23 production workers.
