Christian Singer has been appointed as international general manager for Tennis Point from the start of next year. This specialist retailer was taken over at 78 percent around the end of last year by Signa Retail, the Austrian entity that owns Karstadt. Singer will work together with Christian Miele, who established Tennis Point, to support its development in the German-speaking countries while expanding it in international markets. Tennis Point currently operates 12 stationary stores and 19 online stores in ten languages. Singer has been in the tennis business for the last two decades. He spent 14 of them in the Amer Sports group, occupying various functions relating to the Wilson brand. He was in charge of the racquet and team sports department at Wilson in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) until his departure in 2014 to become general manager at Sports Warehouse, another online retailer. Signa Retail has also appointed Sandra Rehm to be in charge of marketing, finance and operations at Dress-for-Less, another online retailer which the Austrian group fully acquired last August. The company took over control of seven online retail companies in the last 14 months.
