Claes Broqvist has left as chief sales officer of Overalp to become the first international sales director of Vicis from Aug. 5. Based in Seattle, the young American brand has developed a special concussion technology that has earned its helmets the top rating in American football for three years in a row. It has been selling such products only in North America, but it now wants to apply the technology to other team sports and to expand its global distribution. Four years ago, after working for Nike, Haglöfs and Odlo, Broqvist joined Oberalp, the parent company of Salewa, Dynafit and other brands. Some of his responsibilities will be taken on an interim basis by Alberto Ferrin, who has been in charge of key accounts, reporting to Christoph Engl, who became the company's chief executive last September.
