Claes Meldgaard will take over as the new chief executive of Team Sportia, the Swedish voluntary group, in August. He will replace Anders Edvardsson, who left the CEO post back in December, and Richard Westerlund who became the interim CEO afterwards. Westerlund will resume his previous position as deputy CEO. Meldgaard has a long history in the sporting goods industry. He currently works as assortment and purchasing director of ICA Non Food. Previously he worked at Nike and acted as country manager for Bauer Hockey as well as purchasing manager at Team Sportia.
