Colmar is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year with a series of initiatives. The outerwear label has released a short documentary that looks back at some of its creations over the past 100 years, including the skiwear worn by the Italian national ski team in the 1950s. On the heels of its documentary, the company has also unveiled a new capsule collection in collaboration with Californian artist Joshua Vides, who has previously collaborated with Nike, Puma and New Balance.
Founded in 1923 by Mario Colombo and his wife Irma as Manifattura Mario Colombo & C., Colmar initially produced hats and gaiters for men before moving to producing padded garments that would pave the way to skiwear. The company’s headquarters is still in Monza, where its story began in 1923.
