Columbia Sportswear has hired Shawn Cox as senior vice president of retail to oversee the development of Columbia's brick-and-mlortar and e-commerce operations in Europe, the U.S. and Canada. Cox has been working in Amsterdam since 2009 for Mexx, the international Dutch-based fashion group controlled by Liz Claiborne between 2001 and 2011.
