Columbia Sportswear will end amicably its 9-year-old Swedish distribution contract with Sportmarket AB, which represents many other brands in the country, after the delivery of the next Fall/Winter collection. The brand’s distributor in Norway, Patric Holmer, is opening an agency for the brand in Sweden, called Portland Sverige, which will have a showroom in Stockholm. Columbia is doing very well through an agent in Finland. It has expanded its business in Denmark since it switched over from a distributor to an agent in that country.
