Confirming rumors, the Everton Football Club has announced a three-year partnership with Nike, starting with the 2012/13 playing season. As the technical partner of the English Premier League team, the Swoosh will provide the Blues' match and training kits as well as a Nike Pro Combat range, extending the club's retail opportunities. The kits will go on sale next summer. Nike already sponsors the Manchester United and Arsenal teams in the U.K. Everton's current sponsor is Le Coq Sportif, which took over the distribution of its own products in the U.K. last year. A few days ago, Le Coq's parent company, Airesis, announced relatively stable operating earnings for the French brand on 10 percent higher revenues.
