Consumer-oriented trade shows fare well in Spain. The organizers of Deporte Total, a new sports fest celebrated in Madrid last Nov. 3-6, have reported a total of about 100,000 visitors. The recent Nautical Fair in Barcelona welcomed 175,000 visitors, the same as one year ago. A new bike show is now planned for next Apr. 7-9 in Barcelona, but it will include an indoor area reserved for the trade.
