Foot Locker and Dick’s Sporting Goods have agreed, under the terms of Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act, to a voluntary extension of the waiting period for their proposed partnership. The companies disclosed the extension in a July 22 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The move allows the US Federal Trade Commission additional time to complete its review. The partnership, first announced in May, aims to explore collaboration across inventory sharing, in-store concepts and joint marketing. Both retailers say they remain committed to the proposed deal and are cooperating with regulators.
