Boozt, one of the leading Nordic online department stores, plans to establish its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Swedish online giant Boozt is leaving the country where it set up its business, moving its headquarters from Malmö, Sweden, to Copenhagen. Malmö feels too isolated, the company says.

“The strategic decision to establish Boozt’s headquarters in a capital city provides us with the best possible platform to grow and develop our business in line with our long-term aspirations,” says Hermann Haraldsson, co-founder and CEO.

The new office premises, Krystallen, are centrally located, the company says, offering excellent connectivity to both the rest of the Denmark and Sweden, where Boozt has its main operations. The establishment of a Copenhagen headquarters will offer improved access to a dynamic business environment and a robust talent pool that aligns with Boozt’s ambitions.

“Our ambition is to remain among Europe’s most successful e-commerce companies. The timing of this establishment reflects our growth and development needs, supporting the continued positive momentum that has defined our journey,” said Haraldsson.

Procedures and timelines for the establishment of the headquarters are being finalized. Boozt is expected to relocate to the new premises in the first quarter of 2026.

Boozt, which started in Sweden in 2007 and sells fashion, including sportswear, hardware and shoes, had sales of SEK 8 billion (€0.8bn) in 2024 and has ambitious financial targets for the near future. The company, which last made a profit of just over SEK 250 million (€25m) in 2023, aims to reach a turnover of 15 billion Swedish kronor (€1.5bn) within a few years.
