Decathlon has acquired France Cyclisme, the legal entity behind the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale road-cycling team. The change in ownership will take effect at the end of the 2025 season.
AG2R La Mondiale, a French insurer, has been the team’s owner since 2022. It had become a sponsor in 1997 and the chief sponsor in 2000.
Decathlon first stepped in, as a partner, last year. There is no word as yet on any change in the team’s name.
