Frasers Group is set to acquire Twin Sport, a prominent Dutch sporting goods retailer. The acquisition agreement entails Frasers Group acquiring all shares in Twin Sport Holding B.V., a key player in the Dutch sports retail landscape and part of the Intersport franchise under EKS Netherlands. Twin Sport, with 17 stores located across the Netherlands, recorded revenue of approximately €75 million in fiscal 2023.
Additionally, Frasers Group is in advanced discussions to acquire more than 10 former retail locations of Sprinter, another sports retailer situated across the Netherlands. If finalized, these acquisitions will significantly expand Frasers’ sports retail footprint in the Netherlands, complementing its current presence under the Sports World brand and strengthening its position in the Benelux market. The completion of the Twin Sport transaction is subject to Dutch merger control clearance from the Dutch competition authority.
