Founded in 1893, Cicli Olympia is one of Italy’s oldest bike brands.

Cicli Lombardo, best known under its brand name Lombardo Bikes, has completed the acquisition of 100 percent of Cicli Olympia, leading to the creation of the largest all-Italian cycling conglomerate. The acquisition will enable Lombardo Bikes to expand its product range, with a particular focus on the segments of MTB, gravel, racing and e-bikes with Bosch battery, said Lombardo.

Cicli Olympia, established in Milan in 1893, is one of the oldest Italian bike brands. In 1959, Cicli Olympia was acquired by the Fontana family and concurrently moved to the region of Veneto, where it is still headquartered. In 2023, it posted a turnover of around €17 million.

Lombardo Bikes was established in Sicily in 1952 by Gaspare Lombardo. The company, currently headed by CEO Emilio Lombardo, had an annual turnover of around €34 million in 2023. Cicli Lombardo is based in Buseto Palizzolo, near Trapani.
