SGI Europe wrote about it earlier this year. New Balance has officially opened its new European headquarters in Amsterdam’s Schinkel District. The new headquarters is a 3,865-square-meter creative office lease for the brand’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Headquarters.
The company has had an office in the Dutch capital since 2018. Since then, New Balance has been growing and continues to expand, so it needed a bigger location.

The new HQ is more spacious and has a better location for international visitors, as it is close to Schipol airport. Besides having a bigger space, New Balance wanted to give its associates a better working environment. Therefore, the building was carefully chosen. Located in a former old bike factory with extra generous headroom, it is designed to give the workers a lot of space. Also, the office has a lot of green plants, which are intended to improve the air quality and give the employees an even nicer feeling when working.
The New Balance space at A-Factorij will include creative office space, showrooms, and a content studio and initially house 150+ employees. The company is growing fast, both economically and in terms of new employees, and is engaged in a massive recruiting process.
New Balance employs 9,000 associates worldwide and reported sales of $6.5 billion worldwide in 2023. The company owns five athletic footwear factories in New England, USA, and one in Flimby, UK.
