Chinese conglomerate Wanda Group and Infront have announced the conclusion of the company’s strategic review and sales process. “The Infront Board of Directors and the Group Management have decided to further develop Infront’s leading global sports marketing and active lifestyle platforms, supported by Wanda Group as long-term majority shareholder,” said Infront in a statement.

In August 2023, a strategic review was initiated to seek out a new investor for Infront. The process resulted in discussions with potential partners but after assessing all alternatives, the Board and the management concluded that “Infront is best positioned to realize its full potential by continuing its strategy as a stand-alone company under the existing ownership and management team, led by President & CEO Philippe Blatter.”

Switzerland-based Infront has over 40 offices in more than 20 countries and a diversified portfolio in football, winter sports, summer sports and active lifestyle & endurance. It is also one of the largest producers of (live) sports content globally as well as a contester in the field of data rights. In 2025, Infront generated revenues of over €1.2 billion. Through its ownership of Sportograf and MarathonFoto, Infront produced nearly 200 million images, delivered to more than 1.1 million clients and served more than 1,600 participation sports events worldwide in 2025. Infront was acquired by Wanda Group in 2015.
